Time to renew for 2017

Category : Jamaica Bay

Research is already underway for a new year of informational pamphlets. This year I’m extra proud to announce that I’ve received support from the Brooklyn Arts Council for the Brain Washing from Phone Towers pamphlet series. This coming year’s series of pamphlets will be focused on the history, ecology, and community of Jamaica Bay. I’ll be researching infrastructure, visiting a nature preserve, and talking to people about living by the water.

I’ve also got some events planned to accompany your reading experience: a walk through Floyd Bennett Airfield, a reading in June, a bookbinding workshop in the fall, and some birdwatching. All subscribers are of course invited to participate.

The first pamphlets should go out in the mail at the end of April. I plan on writing periodically about the process here.
Subscriptions are available here.

The Jamaica Bay Pamphleteering Project is sponsored, in part, by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC).
